Savalee
Savalee, a non government orphanage located at Ajinkya colony, Bhushan Nagar, Kedgaon, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra- India is in need of basic infrastructural facilities such as housing and transportation for the 25 children (18 boys and 7 girls).
All of these children attend nearby schools and have been performing exceptionally in their course curriculum. ‘SAVALEE’ believes that it is a social responsibility and an utmost and urgent need of the time to provide to the children, at least two full meals a day, security and social and mental health. Care and security which privileged children get is a must for orphans too. ‘SAVALEE’ a NGO in Ahmednagar is trying to provide such security & love to orphan children since nine years. ‘Savalee’ was established in 1999 with only 3 children under its care. Today there are 25 children in all & at least 25 on waiting list. Savalee plans to undertake projects which require the establishment of a large Shelter Home where it can accommodate more students, a vocational training center where the students can learn skills such as machinery handling, work process knowledge, awareness of work atmosphere and team work mentality among others and a Night care center for the children from the nearby slums. These projects are just a few among many other challenges that SAVALEE wants to overcome.
