Initially Gangadhar Baba Orphanage was struggling with mostly basic infra-structural problems. One of the major problems they were having was that of keeping up with the food and groceries costs. There were a lot of farmers from villages around the orphanage who were keen on donating a part of their farm produce to the orphanage on regular basis. The problem that the orphanage faced was to get these resources delivered to the orphanage facility. Right after 'Beyond Intent' was launched in September 2007, this came forward as one of their most urgent needs. Before starting with any other educational project at this orphanage it made more sense to make them free of their worries for basic needs. If a child is not fed properly then he/she might be more interested in getting the bread first than education.

We decided to resolve this problem by providing financial funding to buy a small tempo truck that they could use to collect the groceries and other resources. This would suffice their needs. We asked them provide three quotations. We agreed to sponsor the tempo truck only on the condition that the orphanage will take care of the maintenance.
