We are currently focusing all our efforts into two main projects: Unnati where we sponsor tuition fees for students from when they join us until they complete their schooling and undergraduate education, and Vishesh where we provide for any critical needs that stand in the way of the child having a safe environment where they can study and not have to work/live in dangerous conditions (done on a case by case basis providing for resources that are specific to that child).
Please see On-going Projects for the latest information on these and other projects.

We focus on long term results, and work on every aspect of support the child may need in order to be able to complete their entire schooling. For more details on our approach and why, please visit our About Us page
At the same time, we believe in working thoroughly and transparently in a way that upholds the trust of our donors. So we ensure aid is provided in time and effectively but without compromising on the process – Each application is fully verified before being approved for sponsorship, formal (and simple) documentation is created, signed and saved, records are kept of all relevant paper work from fees receipts to mark sheets to purchase records.

As a small organization, we keep our overhead expenses very low, usually less than 3%. So practically all your funds go directly to the children. They are used for:

  • Project Unnati where we pay tuition fees for the students (most often directly paid to the school/university).
  • Project Vishesh where we pay a stipend to the families of children we support. This is to cover costs for critical needs that will ensure the child has a safe environment conducive to study. These requirements are specific to each child for e.g. we are currently paying stipends for a disabled childs family so that his mother can afford to work less and use that time to help him at school (where he needs physical support), for a family of brothers so that they don’t have to work at odd paint jobs (in toxic conditions) to supplement their grandmothers meager earnings, for hostels for at risk girls etc.
  • Other infrastructural/educational projects on a case by case basis

Please see our On-going projects page Under each project, you will see the list of children supported, their background, updates, pictures etc.

No, Beyond Intent is a secular organization. We support students based solely on economic needs, regardless of what religion they belong to. We also do not support organizations or projects that support a specific religious community exclusively, as we like our support to be more universal and need based.
